I too am having this issue after the 1803 Windows 10 spring update from April. That is, Windows appears to detect the cable properly, but Rocksmith itself can't use it as an input. and not as "ocksmit" or displays a yellow triangle/states it's not recognized/shows an error that the device failed to start. Note that I'm assuming, here, that Windows properly detected the device, recognizes it as a "Rocksmith USB Guitar Adapter", etc.
Microphone Properties window will open, and on the Advanced tab check that it's 1 channel, 16 bit, 44100 Hz (CD Quality) or 48000 (DVD Quality) also, mine has both "Exclusive Mode" boxes checked on that tab.Įssentially, Windows had dumped my custom settings - probably due to USB and/or audio driver updates - so I had to go back through the config guide: I seem to vaguely recall that when I updated to 1709 I had to go into the Windows "Manage Audio Devices" (Sound Control Panel), go to the Recording tab - verify that it shows up as "Microphone - Rocksmith USB Guitar Adapter", set it as the Default Device (at least temporarily), Then select the "Properties" button.
